Core Values of the Rotary Club of Gungahlin

Service

The Rotary Club of Gungahlin is active in the community through hands on projects with local schools and various established organisations. These groups include, but are not limited to, the elderly, youth, ethnic, disabled, mental health and welfare groups. As a club we strive to be readily recognised by the public as an integral part of the Gungahlin community displaying to all that Rotarians care and live by our motto of Service above Self.

Fellowship
Friendship and fellowship is an important aspect of our club. We welcome new members and encourage the personal development of all members. We believe that through these social connections members gain a deeper understanding of other backgrounds and vocations.

Diversity
We strive for a diverse membership. Rotary respects and unifies all vocations, nationalities and religions. Rotary is a non political organisation.

Integrity
We are committed to and expect accountability from our club leaders and members, both in the results of our efforts and in the processes we use to accomplish our goals. We adhere to high ethical and professional standards in our work and personal relationships. We are fair and respectful in our interactions, and we conscientiously use the resources entrusted to us.

Leadership
We believe in the importance of leadership, within the club membership and in our professional fields of endeavour. Leadership development is a progressive quality for our members.
